School buses in Nipissing, Parry Sound and Timiskaming districts were canceled Tuesday as northeastern Ont. Braces due to a winter storm with strong gusts of wind of up to 70 km / h, up to 30 cm of snow.
The intensifying low-pressure weather system is coming in from southern Ontario, causing school bus failures in the Muskoka and Simcoe areas.

Environment Canada has expanded its special weather statement in northeastern Ontario with a severe winter storm approaching Tuesday morning, and has switched to snowfall warnings in some areas.

Snow and strong gusts of wind of up to 70 km / h, which lead to blowing snow and visibility problems, start on Tuesday morning and last until Wednesday afternoon.
