BBC Eastenders spoilers reveal that during the week of September 14, Max Branning (Jake Wood) demands Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) to return the money he stole. When he remains penniless, Max barges in during a meeting with Councillor Douglas and exposes Ian’s criminal fraud and theft. He will try to “explain” it’s a misunderstanding, but it’s just the beginning of Ian’s downfall.
Ian’s deceitful deeds are piling up and it is only a matter of time before he comes crashing down. During a lockdown, Ian struggled to find a solution to his financial problems. He came up with a plan and put it into action. He doesn’t seem fazed by his victims’ anger and is convinced that he is untouchable. However, he will end up scamming the wrong person who isn’t going to let him get away with it.
Eastenders spoilers reveal that during his divorce, Max signed over half his business to Ian. The goal was to prevent Rainie Branning (Tanya Franks) from getting it in the divorce. However, Ian used this agreement to solve his own financial problems. He took all of Max’s money and next week, we will see him demand that Ian pay it all back.
Max doesn’t get his money back, which forces him to take drastic action. While Ian is meeting with Councillor Douglas with the hope of becoming Chair of the Planning Committee, Max bursts in the room. He accuses Ian of stealing his money from the business, which will definitely raise concerns with Councillor Douglas.
Ian has gotten used to making “problem people” go away, manipulating situations to make himself look like a stellar citizen his enemies are set up to look bad. Ian usually has time to deal with damage control. This time, he doesn’t seem to be expecting Max to expose his fraud. Ian must scramble to explain the “misunderstanding” to Councillor Douglas.

While he has gotten away with quite a bit for the past several months, it seems that his luck might be running out. Not only is his theft being exposed, but Dotty Cotton (Millie Zero) told Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) about Ian’s role in Dennis Rickman’s (Bleu Landau) death. Are we seeing the beginning of Ian Beale’s downfall?
